Highpower Mail Support
Email built for business, on your Mac. Need help? Email sales@highpowersecurity.com or call 203-634-3900 on weekdays. Please tell us your macOS version, your Highpower Mail version (Highpower Mail › About) and the kind of account you use.
Requirements
A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later) running macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
Adding your accounts
Choose Add Account and type your email address. Highpower Mail recognizes common providers and shows the steps for each one.
Microsoft 365 and Microsoft accounts
Click Sign in with Microsoft and finish signing in on Microsoft's page. If your company account asks for administrator approval, your IT department needs to allow the app.
Gmail
Gmail connects over IMAP with an app password:
- Turn on 2-Step Verification for your Google account.
- Go to myaccount.google.com/apppasswords and create an app password named "Highpower Mail".
- Paste the 16-character password into Highpower Mail instead of your normal password.
iCloud Mail
- Sign in at account.apple.com and open Sign-In and Security › App-Specific Passwords.
- Create a password named "Highpower Mail" and use it in the app.
Other IMAP or POP3 accounts
Enter the incoming and outgoing server names, ports and security settings from your provider, then use Test Connection before saving.
Common questions
New mail isn't arriving
Click Send & Receive, or use its menu to sync one account. Set how often mail is checked in Settings › General › Check for mail. Clicking the spinning sync icon stops a sync in progress.
How do server rules work?
For Microsoft accounts, a rule can be set to Run on the server. It is saved to your mailbox and works on all your devices, even when your Mac is off. Other rules run in Highpower Mail as mail arrives.
Can I bring my old mail and contacts?
Yes. Use File › Import for mbox and Apple Mail exports, archives from other email apps, and contacts in vCard (.vcf) or CSV format.
How do I back up?
Use the backup option in Settings to save your mail and settings to a file you choose, then restore it on the same or another Mac.
Is my data private?
Yes. Highpower Mail collects no data, and mail travels directly between your Mac and your provider. See the Highpower Mail privacy policy.
